Marc Akiyama is a composer, lyricist, pianist, percussionist, and sound designer. He is a graduate of New York University's Steinhardt Percussion Performance Program under the direction of virtuoso timpanist Jonathan Haas. He's studied writing for concert and musical theatre with Dr. Steven Rosenhaus, and orchestral conducting with Roger Mahadeen. Marc has attended the Society of Composers & Lyricists’ New York Mentor Program with accomplished film composer Chris Hajian, and the Palomar Film Music Workshop with Emmy award winning composer Larry Groupé.
In addition to scoring independent short films, Marc performs for many of San Diego's Professional Theaters. Recent shows include Fuddy Meers (Sound Design), Smokey Joe’s Cafe (Drums), Legally Blonde (Piano & Assistant Music Director), The Secret Garden (Piano/Percussion & Assistant MD), and Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story (Drummer/Actor).
Landon Akiyama is a lyricist, composer, and guitarist. He has studied jazz guitar with New York jazz guitarist Peter Mazza. Previously, he studied guitar performance at Berklee College of Music and Wagner College, as well as theatre performance at the La Jolla Playhouse. Landon earned his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
Aside from working with music and film, Landon was the Production Director for Piper's Angels Foundation, a nonprofit foundation in the cystic fibrosis community that supports and improves the lives of people in the cystic fibrosis community by raising awareness, offering life-expanding activities, and urgent financial support. Currently, he is the Development Coordinator at La Jolla Music Society, a nonprofit that presents and produces a dynamic range of performing arts in San Diego, California.
